Many Glacier Hotel Renovation
The Many Glacier Hotel is a 140,000 SF hotel in Glacier National Park. Work to rehabilitate the north half of the hotel included complete replacement of mechanical & electrical systems, major structural and seismic upgrades, hazardous material abatement and significant architectural modifications to achieve ADA accessibility all the while maintaining and restoring historic features of the building. Planning and construction spanned over 8 years and encompassed a team of hundreds. Taylor started the project as an intern working on assessment and schematic design; over the years as his expertise grew, he graduated to Project Architect during the Design Development and Construction Document phases and was ultimately the Project Manager during the 2.5 year construction process. Bob also played a significant role in the early phases of the project. Work was done while employed at Anderson Hallas Architects.
